Well the world of local bike shops is now in transition. The well established "JRA Bike & Brew" has moved to a Thousand Oaks location from their Agoura spot. Much better for our Moorpark bikers. While on the sad side, the "Simi Valley Cyclery" is closing its doors after over 40 years of service. What a shame, they will not relocate, so one less bike shop. A year ago the Westlake Cyclery went out of business due to the owner raising the rental rate. Now after some time later a new bike shop will open in the same shopping center...."Trek of Westlake Village."
Just a thought....to keep our local bike shops around we must purchase from them, get repairs from them. Yes, online prices may be better, but in the long run it is important to keep our local businesses up and running. Please consider going to your local bike shop before buying online.
