Rain was predicted on this Saturday's charity ride of the Tour de Sewer in Bell Gardens. However, we were very lucky to have just overcast skies with cool temps, no rain. Four Moorpark riders (Gayle, Dave, Nancy, Mike & BillC) ventured up the Rio Hondo and San Gabriel Rivers for the 28 mile basically flat route. Yes, the ride did have on long hill, but the downhill side was quite nice. This ride offered a lot for the money. You get the ride, rest stop goodies, lunch and a t-shirt for only $48. We really enjoyed the ride due to the fact that most of the route was off city streets along the river levees having no stop lights.
