Due to the extreme heat conditions for this coming weekend, the route to East Simi Valley on the Santa Susana 39 Miler has been changed. The next safer route will head from Moorpark's Tierra Rejada Park at 8:29am up Read Road Bike Connector, Olsen, Pederson, Erbes, La Granada into Thousand Oaks with our goal being the cool Los Robles Golf Course. Here you can eat/drink in their air conditioning eating facility or outside under their umbrellas. Just click on "Los Robles 28 Miler Route Map" is a substitute for the hot rides into Simi Valley.
Post Ride Comment- With about 20 riders today the ride was great because of the added shade and positive breezes, even though it approached 90 degrees. We had a visitor from Texas, Kay, who ranks as one of the farthest riders to join our group!
