Yes, our famous coastal bike trail from Bates Road in Carpinteria to the Mobil Pier in Ventura is finally taking shape. Some of the portions of the bike trail look well ahead of schedule. The entrances and exits at the old Mobil Pier and Bates Road look great. Now we are waiting for the remainder of the trail to be paved and protective k-rails installed to complete the project over a year ahead of schedule. The expected completion date is the middle of summer, hopefully before the CIBC Cool Breeze Charity Rides takes place. Thank you Caltrans for a speedy and beautiful project.
