Our parent organization, the Channel Islands Bike Club, is organizing two wonderful events that you might be interested in participating in this summer.
First up is their Annual Club Ride and Picnic on Sunday, August 10th at Lions Park in beautiful Carpinteria. Choose to join them on one of three rides into Carpinteria, Santa Barbara and Goleta and then "pig out" at the delicious BBQ picnic feast after the ride. The ride begins at 8:30am while the picnic starts at 12pm.
This is a wonderful way to meet new and old friends during the ride and or picnic. Cost of the ride is FREE while the BBQ is $10 per person. Head over to the CIBC Webpage for more information. See you on the 10th for great fun!
Secondly, the 20th Annual Cool Breeze Century is set for Saturday, August 16th from Ventura. This one of the premier cycling charity events in California. You can choose to ride in a double metric, century, metric or mini ride up towards Carpinteria and beyond. Register soon as this event does fill up.
