Recently CalTrans has repaved the section of Highway 1 from Cambria to Ragged point with overly sized chip seal rocks which has put the recreational cyclist in a hazardeous situation. The large scale rocks can cause the biker to lose control and also get many flats. Many of you have probably biked that beautiful section of coastline past Hearst Castle, elephant seal rookery and up into the fog heading to Big Sur.
